We are so moved by the stories shared about our beloved mother, Lillian Barden, that we hope her memorial is not a reason for sadness, but a source of encouragement, strength and gratitude.

Our mother was blessed in her friendships, partnerships and community.

Given how her life started, it is an amazing miracle that she created a whole new one, full of blessings and lessons and love.

Hello! It’s been more than a year since your mother passed, so I don’t know if you’ll see this, but I would love to hear from any of you if you do. Thank you for including my mother‘s name (Beverly) in the mention of your mother‘s close friends. I had several chats with your mother during and after the time of my own mother‘s death several years ago. This has been a very busy year and I was just sitting down looking through the contacts in my phone and I realized I hadn’t talked to your mother in some time and thought I would give her a call. When the phone didn’t even have a ringtone, I searched online to find out if she had passed away. That’s how I arrived at this page. Please accept my deep condolences. I know how special Lillian and Beverly were to each other and I’m so grateful for the collection of letters that they both kept through the years.
